Welcome!

Welcome to the Morton G3 blog!

We are all so excited that you will be joining us this year as we grow into more godly girls!

Our first activity will be a casual "Get to Know You" night. Mark your calendars for February 21st @ 6:30pm. Heather will be hosting, and to make transportation as easy as possible, we will provide rides from church to Heather's house for the girls. Please drop your daughter(s) off at church BY 6:20pm and we'll bring them home afterward. Plan on them returning home around 8:3opm, but it may be a little later if we're having too much fun to stop!!

As we said at the meeting, we want you parents to be involved in this. These are your daughters and no one knows them better than you do. We will be praying for each girl, so if you know a specific area or topic we can pray for her, please let us know.

We desire your feedback. Let us know which events the girls liked in particular. We are here to have fun and build relationships while we all grow more into the girls God created us to be. Everyone is a unique individual, with unique interests and some will not enjoy activities that others love. We older girls are a bit out of the loop when it comes to jr. high interests these days, so we're trying to come up with activities that will be cool and fun for the girls, but let's face it, we're getting old.

As time goes on, we will be adding short talks on topics relevant to the girl's lives. They all face certain issues and struggles that come with their age. Things such as peer pressure, parental respect, modesty, friendships with boys, internet safety, etc are universal for junior high girls. Even if they don't face those things at this very moment, they will most likely at some point in their future. We want to help reinforce the godly upbringing you have given your daughter and encourage her to make the right choices. Again, you know your girls and what they are dealing with now. If there is a topic or something specific you would like for us to address, please let us know. We will do our best to research it, and present it to the girls.

We are new at this. We feel a little nervous and very excited. One thing is for sure, God place a burden for these girls on our hearts and we are following His leading. Please pray for us and with us as we undertake this journey together!!

Please RSVP in the comment section. If this is your first time using a blog, it's pretty straight forward.
  1. At the end of this post, there will be some information. The last part of the information will say "COMMENTS". Click "COMMENTS".
  2. A new, small window will appear. This is the comment wondow. A text box is at the top for you to write in. This is where you RSVP, share feedback, comments, etc. *be aware that everyone has access to the comments posted, so if you want to discuss or share something private, please email.
  3. Under the text box is a "word" and then a "WORD VERIFICATION" box. This is so that computers can not access the comments section and advertise. All you have to do is type the "word" (sometimes it is letters that don't really make a word) in the box.
  4. Next is the option to "Choose an identity". Click the circle next to "Name/URL" (Unless you are a Blogger user and already have a user account. If you have no idea what I am talking about here, then you don't have one.)
  5. Two text areas will appear under the "Name/URL" button. One is for your name- enter your name. The other is for a URL (basically an internet address) which you will leave blank.
  6. Double check what you wrote then click the orange "PUBLISH YOUR COMMENT" button.
  7. Your comment will now appear in the comment box.
  8. To close the comment box, click "Close this window" in the upper right side, just under the yellow shaded area.
  9. You did it!
